SUPPORT EXPERIENCE FOR BABIES AND MOTHERS
It is said that babies are like flowers. All a flower asks for is rain and sunshine. For those small favors, it blooms joyfully. The same is true in a way of an infant. All a baby needs is food and love for the baby to grow and flourish.

CICN, CNA, & CIMI. CPCT. EKG and PHLEBOTOMY
Sue has certification in many specialties. In addition to being a Certified Infant Care Nurse, she is also a Certified Nurse's Assistant. Sue is a Certified Infant Massage instructor as well as a Certified Patient Care Technician EKG and phlebotomist. By virtue of her years of experience, she has gained a momentum of understanding the characteristics of what is termed “internal visionary language” that exists between multiple birth babies. She also devotes time from her bust schedule to the Kiwanis Club reaching out to assist the needy.

Sue thoroughly understands the needs and sounds of the cries of a new born that differentiates hunger from stress. She is keenly aware of SID and the consequence of inattention. Sue knows procedures related to a newborn’s intake compared to the output to ensure proper daily weight gain. She is experienced in recognizing the reflexes of a newborn from a premature status to those babies born with birth defects.

Developmental as well as behavioral mental and physical stress awareness are issues that Sue is well qualified to manage. Such other typical birth related subjects such as a Briss event and umbilical care, infantile jaundice, and reflux matters are within her professional scope. She is versed in both regular and utero therapy baths. Sue exercises proper skills regarding the importance of self structuring babies from routine scheduling. She has the skills required to care for a mother with sore or mastitis nipples not excluding a yeast infection.

CD (DONA) PD (DONA) CPR - BIRTH DOULA
In her function as a Birth Doula, Sue also coaches the expecting mother whether at home or at the hospital. She knows how to engage in several technical supportive exercises which are done together. She supports the advocation of vaginal birth as a stepping stone to minimize postpartum depression and fast healing. As a Child Birth Doula, Sue provides informational, emotional and physical support regardless of the manner of delivery, vaginal or Cesarean. This companionship provides significant security and minimizes fear from the typical excruciating labor body expansion. Sue offers several of her Doula comprehensive skills to support the mothers until birth. POSTPARTUM DOULA
Sue also has been a strong advocate for physical and emotional support as a Postpartum Doula for mothers. After the baby's birth, the sudden crash of Postpartum often makes stressful matters worse due to massive changes in hormonal levels. Postpartum or postnatal healing can range from mild to extreme. However, once Sue recognizes that support is needed she often takes over the house as well as the babies. The net result is that the mother gets all the rest needed to heal. She extends special care to mothers with any level of edema when their body retains fluid by applying cold therapy. This proven therapy has been successful for many years.
With her eighteen years experience of working with mothers, often around the clock, she recognizes depression before it strikes. She manages to stop bouts of unnecessary tearful crying, fatigue and weak energy flow of the mother who may be sleep deprived as well. She restores the missing lack of real support. Sue never underestimates the seriousness of help that the mother’s body cries out for. She helps to achieve the space to heal. Sue recognizes and deals with the sudden likes and dislikes for loved family members that appear for no reason.

LACTATION CONSULTANT
Sue has worked extensively for eighteen years with mothers who breast feed their newborns from singletons to multiple babies. She can easily testify that breastfeeding does not come automatically. The correct method must be sought and used to bring both a physiological and an anatomical connection for both the mother and her baby with appropriate production yield. The supply often increases from colostrum to milk on a daily basis. Breast nipples are then less likely to be sore from incorrect latching. It is all natural and involves natural antibodies since we are born with the gift for breast feeding. Even though it is nature’s best approach for baby bonding, the nursing mother must be supported and well prepared for breast feeding. The result is that love for breast feeding becomes easier and the supply of the mother’s milk becomes constant on a long term basis for her babies. With the help of the right milk, the supply will generate as shown on the Tidbit page. Sue even has an answer for nipple confusion. She says “I get set up in advance and I utilize the right pumping equipment. I use nipple shields for inverted nipples, direct breast feeding. I also employ the proper pillows and positions. I advocate freezing large quantities of milk if available, eating well, and avoiding dehydration. The mother must get adequate rest as well. It is the one sensible solution that brings joy to breast feeding. If the right methods are selected and put into effect, the entire effort is a success for mother and baby."

PROLIFIC AUTHOR OF ALLEGORICAL CHILDREN'S BOOKS
Over the years, often when her babies are sleeping peacefully, Sue gets the chance to write. She has created over a dozen books dealing with family relationships, birth defects and how they can be addressed through the eye of a child, and fanciful stories of those who care for the environment around us. For a complete list of her work and a preview of the body of the many soon-to-be-published books, be sure to visit the Bookstore at www.rovalpublishing.com.

PHILANTHROPIC LITERARY PLANNING
Sue is not content to let others support those world-wide charities doing so much good work. She cares! To emphasize her care she has made arrangements to donate a certain percentage of the proceeds of her literary work to well know and admired charities. The groups are clearly identified in her books.
